The Milwaukee Brewers cut ties with five more players Monday when they decided not to offer contracts to infielders Travis Shaw and Tyler Saladino, and pitchers Jimmy Nelson, Junior Guerra and Alex Claudio.
Those decisions were announced Monday, a few hours after the Cincinnati Reds revealed they had signed third baseman Mike Moustakas to a four-year, $64-million contract.
Contracts were tendered to three other arbitration-eligible players – relievers Josh Hader, Corey Knebel and Brent Suter.
