A 56-year-old Darlington woman has been cited on several counts, including operating a motor vehicle, while intoxicated, first offense.
Investigators say Jeanne M. Halvorson hit an Amish buggy on Highway 126 in Belmont Township and didn’t stop.
Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office took her into custody on suspicion of criminal damage to property.
The name of the buggy driver hasn’t been released and no injuries have been reported.
