A wounded man identified 26-year-old Gage Holmes as the one who shot him when Janesville police responded to a 9-1-1 call Thursday morning.
Police interviewed the victim at St. Mary’s Hospital after witnesses had taken him to the emergency room.
Holmes has been charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and is being held in the Rock County Jail.
Investigators haven’t identified the wounded man. He was treated and released.
