Madison Moves UW Student Drinking Tickets To Municipal Court

The city of Madison and the University of Wisconsin are working on a deal that would funnel student drinking tickets through the municipal court.  Those cases are closing the county court docket right now.  The next time a U-W student gets a ticket for underage drinking they might avoid a trip to the Dane County courthouse.  Municipal court tickets would be a little cheaper, too.  All tickets handled in municipal court would have to be written by U-W-Madison police.
