Wednesday’s announcement put a big smile on the face of Marquette basketball coach Steve Wojciechowski.
6’ 11” high school senior Dawson Garcia committed to the Golden Eagles, picking them over Indiana. Marquette put the fullcourt press on the top-50 high school inside player and entered the fall as the perceived favorites.
The forward from Prior Lake, Minnesota is ranked the 45th-best player in the country by E-S-P-N.
Marquette will next be on their home court on Saturday, when they face off against the Robert Morris Colonials.
