The Wisconsin men’s hockey team came very close to a weekend sweep of previously-unbeaten Notre Dame last week.
A 5-4 overtime defeat Saturday ended those thoughts and left the two teams with a split. Wisconsin had shut out Notre Dame Friday 3-0. The Badgers trailed most of the game but managed to take the lead in the final period on a goal by K’Andre Miller. Notre Dame tied it, then won in the extra frame.
Wisconsin travels to Minnesota next weekend to play the Golden Gophers in another Big Ten Conference series.
