The chairman of the Kenosha County Board of Supervisors has been arrested on a charge of felony retail theft.
Kenosha police say 51-year-old Daniel Esposito drove out of the materials yard at a Menards store with more than $600 worth of items he hadn’t paid for.
Esposito attended the county board meeting Tuesday night but didn’t respond when a man asked him if he received preferential treatment because he was released just a few hours after the arrest.
A Walworth County prosecutor is still reviewing the case.
