The NEW Zoo and Adventure Park has announced that they have a new giraffe in their exhibit.
Nigel traveled from the Erie Zoo in Pennsylvania to Green Bay in a specially designed giraffe trailer that requires 14-foot clearance. The giraffe was monitored constantly during the transport via a camera feed from the trailer.
Prior to the move, Zookeeper Shannon Scanlan spent several days at the Erie Zoo to meet Nigel and the people who know him best. The Giraffe Feeding Experience will be closed for the next couple of days while Nigel and the NEW Zoo’s previous giraffe Zuri get to know each other.
Nigel will make his public appearance on Saturday.
