Bail is set at $1,500 cash for a 30-year-old Manitowoc man facing multiple drug charges after he was taken into custody Monday night. Joshua J. Reed is charged with possession of methamphetamine and marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of a schedule two drug and drug paraphernalia and one count of misdemeanor bail jumping.
A Manitowoc Police Officer was near Evergreen Cemetery around 9:30 and noticed a vehicle going around 15 miles-per-hour above the posted speed limit and pulled it over. It was discovered that Reed was driving with a suspended license and due to his previous drug arrests, K-9 Neko was summoned to the scene and was alerted to the possible presence of drugs. A physical search revealing a baggie each of meth and marijuana along with several items of drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Bail is contingent on Reed maintaining absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol and his initial appearance is scheduled for November 4th at 1:30.
