Madison police say a 63-year-old man fired his gun at officers before he was shot to death Sunday night. The Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation is handling Madison’s first officer-involved shooting of the year. A 9-1-1 caller reported a weapons violation shortly after 9:15 P-M. The name of the man fatally wounded by officers hasn’t been released. The D-C-I will send its findings to the District Attorney’s office when complete.
