
Red Wing Shoes out of Appleton is one of 8 statewide businesses to receive honors at the 2019 MARKETPLACE Governor’s Awards competition. The awards were presented by Governor Tony Evers and Missy Hughes, secretary and CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), last Thursday at MARKETPLACE 2019, the Governor’s Conference on Minority Business Development. Red Wing was the winner in the Small Business, Woman-Owned Business Enterprise category. The other small business to receive honors were PeroDigm Design Studio out of Cambridge in the Minority-Owned category, and Nagel Architects, which is a service-disabled veteran-owned business enterprise out of Elm Grove.
