Two Manitowoc residents awoke to a scary sight on Saturday morning.
According to a police report, a man was woken at around 8:00 a.m when an intruder tripped over the chair he was sleeping in at an apartment in the 1700 block of Cedar Grove Drive. The man said the 36-year-old subject entered a bedroom, where he “trashed” the room, flipping items, and slashing others with a large hunting knife.
The man told officers that the subject jumped out of the second-story window, crossed the street, and entered a car. Officers were immediately called and found the man still by the car.
The man was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Use of a Dangerous Weapon Enhancer, Obstructing an Officer, and 4 counts each of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping and Bench Warrants
