Seventeen Republicans have signed a letter pressing the governor to decide on a special election date for the Seventh Congressional District. The seat has been vacant for almost a month since Sean Duffy resigned. The group of Republicans is questioning why Governor Evers is taking so long. He had previously set a date for the end of January, but there were conflicts which made that unworkable. Democrats say the other party is grandstanding, pointing out it’s only been two weeks since the initial date was canceled.
