While police are still searching for the individual responsible, residents in Neenah are celebrating the life of the man who lost his life in the armed robbery turned deadly at the Short Branch Saloon. Kevin “Hollywood” Hein was at the bar when the unknown subject entered brandishing a gun, demanding money. The subject fired off four or five shots, which struck Hein, resulting in his death.
Hein was something of a local celebrity, as he acted in several local commercials, which is how he got the nickname Hollywood. Friends of Hein described him as a dependable and genuine man, who was always there when people needed him. Memorial Services will be held at Christ Congregational Church in Clintonville at 3:00 this Saturday.
