Wisconsin’s 38-0 shut out of Michigan State results in the Badgers moving up to sixth in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll. Jonathan Taylor was held below 100 yards for the first time this season, but he scored twice and pounded out 80 yards on 26 carries Saturday. Jack Coan connected on 18-of-21 passes for 180 yards and a score, but the big story – again – was Wisconsin’s defense. While racking up its fourth shutout in six games, the Badger-D held the Spartans to 149 total yards, only 30 on the ground and allowed just seven first downs. Wisconsin travels to Illinois next Saturday.
