A Milwaukee man will spend five years in prison and five more years on extended supervision for killing his former girlfriend. A Milwaukee County District judge sentenced Marvin Patterson Thursday. He had told investigators he just decided to point a gun at Kiara Brown’s head as they talked in her car. She died instantly. Patterson turned himself in 24 hours after the 18-year-old victim was found dead in that car. Police found the gun used to kill her.
