A federal grand jury has indicted a 31-year-old Madison man, accusing him off transporting a minor from Wisconsin to Illinois for prostitution. Local, state and federal officials worked together on the case. Investigators say James Coney is charged with recruiting, enticing, harboring, transporting and maintaining the victim over a four-week period ended in late January 2018. If he is convicted, Coney could face a mandatory sentence of 10 years, up to life in federal prison, on each charge.
