Back in July, the Two Rivers Public Works team completed the outermost segment of the trail, at the south breakwater on Lake Michigan, and the concrete work was finished in August. The next step for the trail is the decoration of the wall with a mural. Work is already underway for that, and several local artists have been contributing. The final piece will have seven different species of fish in front of a flowing background of color. Below is a rendering of what the finished project will look like. The $125,000 project is being funded in part with a $48,000 grant from Wisconsin’s Coastal Management Program and a $30,000 grant from the West Foundation.
