Authorities say a drug raid at a hotel near Appleton could be the largest meth bust ever in northeastern Wisconsin. Authorities say the drugs were found in a guest room at the Wingate by Wyndham in Grand Chute last month. Police also seized about 2 lbs of heroin and fentanyl and a handgun. 26-year-old Kaukauna man, Derek Liebergen is now facing federal charges of possession with intent to distribute. Brown County District Attorney David Lasse said that the seizure of around 60 lbs of meth has put a “serious dent” in the region’s supply.
