Another 3 Stars and Stripes Honor Flights will be taking off on October 19th, and the veterans on board will be joined by some prior players from the Packers, Bucks, and Brewers. The announcement was made by Packer President Mark Murphy, who said that the flight will be carrying 240 veterans, on top of the former Wisconsin icons. A list of the athletes that will be making the trip has not been released, but we do know that there will be three separate flights on that day, two departing from Milwaukee, and one from Green Bay. Since 2008 Stars and Stripes Honor Flight has taken 7,200 local veterans on these free trips, but this is the first time the three professional sports teams have joined together in a Flight of Champions.
