Kiel Church Steeple Struck by Lighting

A church in Kiel is missing its steeple after it was struck by lightning. According to the Kiel Police Department Facebook page, the strike occurred at around 7:10 Tuesday morning at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Police and Fire Departments were both dispatched to the church located at 387 Cemetery Road and checked on the people inside. School was not yet in session, and no one was injured. Other than very minor delays in the school drop off procedures, none of the school’s operations were affected. The church did sustain some damage and the steeple was removed as a safety precaution.
