Things are back to normal in Superior after a pipe bomb threat closed a major street and led to the evacuation of the new fire hall and a dentist office. A remote controlled robot took pictures of the suspicious object Tuesday afternoon and investigators later determined it did not pose a threat. Superior Police Chief Nick Alexander says it was a pipe-shaped object sealed on one end and had the potential of a fuse on the other end. The Marathon County Bomb Squad assisted with the investigation of the homemade explosive.
