Traffic was blocked on Memorial Drive at Mirro Drive in Manitowoc for nearly 7 hours yesterday following a crash between a semi and a garbage truck in foggy conditions. Local police and the State Patrol were called to the scene about 10:15 am and there was a road blockage until the Incident was cleared shortly after 5:00 Monday afternoon. One of the large trucks was on its’ side. There were no apparent injuries and a detour route was set up around the accident scene to allow for cleanup and crash reconstruction. The accident report is not available this morning.
