Senator Pat Testin, a Republican from Madison, is proposing a lifetime fishing license for the state. Testin says it would help residents enjoy the sport. He says instead of paying 19 dollars, 25 cents each year — you could pay 577 dollars, 50 cents for a lifetime license. Those who would hold a resident lifetime fishing license would still have to purchase a fishing stamp for the type of fishing they want to do. The bill is in it’s early stages so Testin says it will be a while before the lifetime license would be available.
