“Fall is really a unique time at Pinecrest Historical Village,” says the Executive Director of the Manitowoc County Historical Society, Amy Meyer. Autumn at the Historical Village offers changes in tree color, landscaping and pollinator habitats at the village, along with many cool programs.
“We have a lot of youth programs coming up,” Meyer said. “We also have a homeschool tour coming up all about the harvest, so you can come out here and see some of the historic agriculture equipment,” Meyer says they also have their All Hallows Eve on Saturday, October 12th. It will be set in an old-time village ready for trick or treating. “We encourage youth and adults to come dressed in costume and you can go through our historic structures, trick or treating just like people would have over 100 years ago.”
Amy Meyer has been part of the museum for 11 years and its’ executive director since 2013. Pinecrest Historical Village is located three miles west of I-43, along County Highway J-J.
