Neville Public Museum opening new temporary exhibit Green Bay’s Monster Maker: The Art of Dale Kuipers
Dale Kuipers (1947-1996) realized his love for horror and art at an early age. By the age of 11 he was already creating dinosaurs, monsters, and aliens in his parents’ basement. He was known for creatively crafting things that go bump in the night for haunted houses in the area. Dale also worked for a short time in Hollywood as a special effects and make-up artist.
His most notable creatures were dinosaurs in “Caveman,” and the werewolves in “The Howling.” Explore the works of art from different stages of Dale’s life. On display, visitors will discover 20 pieces from the Neville Public Museum Collection and 3 pieces on loan of original Dale Kuipers artwork including monsters, dinosaurs, aliens, and more!
Green Bay’s Monster Maker: The Art of Dale Kuipers will be on display through November 10, 2019 at the Neville Public Museum on the Mezzanine.
