State Senator Devin LeMahieu of Oostburg visited Sheboygan Health Services to tour the skilled nursing facility, meet with residents, and discuss the state of the long-term care industry with facility leadership. Sheboygan Health Services invited Senator LeMahieu to tour the facility following their recent recognition as a 2019 recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living. Sen. LeMahieu said that he appreciated the opportunity to visit the facility, and went on to say “The last state budget included a substantial $74 million increase for nursing homes to help ensure the best possible care for those needing long-term assistance. It was encouraging to see first-hand that this investment is being well utilized.”
