An accused killer in Columbia County has fired his defense attorneys. Fifty-five-year-old Kevin K. Krueger is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in his wife’s shooting death two years ago. Krueger told the judge he would represent himself during a Wednesday motions hearing. In April 2016, he entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity or mental deficiency. Even though the prosecution argued against the idea, Judge Troy Cross decided to allow Krueger to act as his own counsel.
