Three people are dead after a fire this morning at a group home for people with disabilities in Fond du Lac. Fire Chief Peter O’Leary said one victim was found dead early in the fire investigation and two more victims were later located by firefighters. O’Leary called the fire “incredibly intense” and said all three victims were on the second floor. Two others escaped the burning home. The flames started on the front porch and spread quickly. Investigators are trying to determine the cause and why the victims didn’t try to get out.
