Packers Sign CB/KR Tremon Smith Off Waivers

The Green Bay Packers bolstered the kick return game and added a little speed to the defensive backfield Monday.  They claimed cornerback and kick returner Tremon Smith off waivers.  Kansas City set Smith free to make room on the roster for receiver Byron Pringle.  Three of Smith’s 33 kickoff returns last season went for more than 40 yards and he averaged nearly 27 yards-a-return.  It’s possible the Packers will put Raven Greene on I-R to make room on the roster.
