Brewers veteran Ryan Braun connected on a two-out, two-strike pitch with the bases loaded, hitting the seventh grand slam of his career in Sunday’s 7-6 win at St. Louis. Milwaukee took two-out-of-three during the weekend road series to move with three games of the National League Central Division leaders. Braun’s blast gave the Brewers a 7-4 lead, then Cardinal rookie Tommy Edman’s homer with a man on made it a one-run game, but Josh Hader struck out the last two batters to preserve the victory.
Milwaukee has won nine out of its last 10 games, with Zach Davies starting against San Diego at Miller Park tonight. First pitch will be at 6:40 PM, with pregame coverage on 1240 AM WOMT starting at 6:05 PM
