A Chippewa County Circuit judge has ruled that evidence from a Rusk County case can be used against the 22-year-old man accused of killing three Girl Scouts and a mother last year. Prosecutors say Colten Treu was high on drugs when he hit the victims cleaning up the roadside in Lake Hallie last November. A jury trial for Treu is scheduled to start in January. He has entered a plea of not guilty to 11 different counts.
