3 Friends Rescued From Raft In Lake Mendota

The Madison Fire Department Lake Rescue Team launched a boat early Friday morning to pick up three friends adrift on a raft in Lake Mendota.  A concerned friend had made the call for help because the men on the raft didn’t have a phone and had floated away 90 minutes earlier.  The rescuers spotted the raft about 500 yards from shore.  Nobody was injured and no names have been released.
