Former Valders High School athlete, Luke Goedeke, is returning to the Badger State tomorrow as a member of the Central Michigan football team. Luke and his Central Michigan teammates face the Badgers in a 2:30 kickoff at Camp Randall Stadium. Goedeke is a sophomore offensive tackle for the Chippewas.
Valders Athletic Director Kelly Isselmann talks about the school’s former athlete, “I think that’s a great honor for him, to be coming back to his home state. Our school and the community is excited, I know many people are going down to watch him. I think that it’s just a great honor for Luke, he was a great athlete here and he continued to be a great athlete in college as well.”
Isselmann on the type of person Luke is, “Very respectful, hard worker, always in the weight room and obviously it’s paying off with playing in college at a big school like that. All around a very smart guy.”
