Milwaukee police say the 46-year-old woman shot to death after a minor traffic accident last Friday night had been teaching her son to drive. Tracey Smith was a sergeant with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Her 17-year-old son was looking on as she talked to the other driver. Police call it a case of road rage when that driver pulled out a gun and shot Smith to death. The son tried to help his mother, driving her to a nearby hospital, but she couldn’t be saved. The shooter has been taken into custody, but the 35-year-old man’s name hasn’t been released.
