Suspect In Armed Attack Found Hiding In Trunk Of Woman’s Car

Madison police say they found the suspect in a possible armed robbery or fight hiding in the trunk of a woman’s car last weekend.  An 18-year-old man had called 9-1-1 saying he had been threatened with a gun.  The suspect ran off just as the first officer was arriving.  A Dane County sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop based on a vehicle description, detained the 19-year-old woman who was driving — then made the discovery of the suspect in the back.  Police were told the disturbance was over a girl, but officers suspect it began as a drug transaction.  No names have been released.
