Area high school cross-country teams competed last evening in the Two Rivers Invitational. Results provided to us this morning showed the Manitowoc Lutheran boys placed 3rd out of 9 teams. Nolan Winter was the Lancers top finisher coming in 4th in a time of 17:46. The Girls team was 7th with Brooklyn Luebke medaling & winding up 8th in 22:19. The Lincoln boys placed 4th led by Max Bailey…who was 3rd overall in 17:45.
At the Kettle Moraine Invite, the Valders boys won the 9 team event on a windy, 5-K course with 22 points ahead of runnerup Slinger. The Vikings had 5 of the top 7 runners, including runnerup finisher Clay Taylor in 17:39. Slinger captured the Girls varsity race with Valders 3rd. Coach Bill Dietrich tells us that Avery Kauth was 9th in 23:45.
