An Oshkosh woman is accused of stealing over $100,000 from a local non-profit organization over the past two years. The Solutions Recovery Center began to feel suspicion about Elyson Edwards, one of their employees and called the police to look into her actions. Edwards spoke with officers, claiming she had taken around $5,000 from the company, but an investigation determined the amount was actually over $100,000. She did this by paying her personal credit card and medical bills with funds out of the Solutions account. Edwards is charged with a felony count of theft in a business setting greater than $100,000. She will have her initial appearance in Winnebago County Court on September 23rd.
