Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office Locate Missing Boater on Lake Winnebago

A 60-year-old Texas man was reported missing on Lake Winnebago yesterday, but in a bit of positive news, the man has been found safe. The Sheriff’s Office said in a news release, that the man went out on the lake at Willow Point, south of Oshkosh in a white pontoon with a white canopy at around 10:00 yesterday morning. Local relatives said they didn’t hear from him for the remainder of the day and he did not take his cell phone with him. The Sheriff’s Office reported that he was found just before 6:00 this morning safe and sound. The Sheriff’s Office issued a thank you to those who assisted in the investigation but said no other details are being released at this time.
