Manitowoc Filmmakers Filming in Kewaunee

A pair of Lakeshore area filmmakers are preparing to begin production in Kewaunee. Melonie Gartner and James Lawrence will be shooting for their short film entitled “Shadows” at an undisclosed indoor location in the city. The suspense-filled movie will be taking after the likes of Alfred Hitchcock whom the directors say they are huge fans of. Lawrence wrote the screenplay, and Gartner will have the dual roles of director and lead star in the film. The filming process will take place this weekend with a crew of around 10 people, and the editing and post-production work will follow.
