F-R-C-C powerhouse Bay Port spoiled the head coaching debut of Greg Enz at Manitowoc Lincoln Last night and the Pirates shut-out the Shipbuilders, 42-0 in the season opener for both schools. Bay Port, which has a roster peppered with Division-1-and-2 recruits in several sports, roared out to a 35-0 advantage at halftime and never looked-back. Lincoln was held to just 69 yards in total net offense, while the Bucs amassed 399 yards. Quarterback Andrew Thomas, whose father was a college roommate of Don Davey at Wisconsin, was 10-10 through the air scored a touchdown, and passed for 2 other scores. For Lincoln, Bryson Roulette led the way with 35 rushing yards but the Ships committed 3 turnovers against a program that has now won 28-consecutive conference games. The Shipbuilders will look to break into the win column next Thursday night when they travel to Pulaski.
