Inmate Found Dead in Calumet County Jail

An 18-year-old male inmate was found dead early this morning in the Calumet County Jail. Sheriff Mark Wiegert says shortly after midnight, Corrections Officers discovered the man was not breathing. Life Saving efforts were initiated by officers until EMS personnel arrived. He was transferred to Ascension Calumet Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No other details are being released at this time. The Outagamie Sheriff’s Department is assisting with the investigation.
