Drug and alcohol deaths in Wisconsin have more than tripled since 1999. That is fueling a drop in life expectancy for state residents in each of the last two years. Wisconsin Policy Forum has issued a report which finds the drug death rate has more than quadrupled over the last 20 years. Babies born between 2015 and 2017 can expect to live 80 years, down from just over 80 previously.
