Sturgeon Bay High School Earns Scholarship at Tall Ships Event

When the tall ships were in Green Bay a short time ago, the PMI Entertainment Group held a sail painting contest for area high school’s with the winning school taking home a $1,000 scholarship. The grand prize winners were Quincy Gibson and Ellie Johnson from Sturgeon Bay High School for their beautiful design featuring a boat on the water with a sunset in the background. It is rather fitting that Sturgeon Bay High School won, as the sails were all provided by DorSal Sail and Canvas out of Sturgeon Bay. A total of eight schools participated, including Algoma, Ashwaubenon, Bay Port, Green Bay West, John Dewey Academy of Learning, Notre Dame, Oneida Nation, and or course the winner, Sturgeon Bay. Attendees of the Tall Ships event voted for the winner.
