Green Bay Packers fans will be able to kick the 2019 season off with style when a pep rally is held in Chicago the night before the season opener. Former players Mark Chmura and Frank Winters will make special appearances during the event starting at 6:00 P-M at Will’s Northwoods Inn on Racine Avenue. If you plan to attend the rally, you’re encouraged to sign up for a Packers Pass in advance. All the activities will be held September 4th, with kickoff for the Thursday game at 7:20 P-M September 5th in Soldier Field.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he hopes nobody gets hurt and the Packers offense is efficient in tonight’s (Thursday’s) second preseason game. Green Bay plays the Ravens in Baltimore with both teams expected to put most of their starters on the field in the first quarter. Rodgers says it’s important to run through some of the processes of the new offense installed by head coach Matt LaFleur. The Ravens defense was ranked second in the N-F-L last season — meaning it should offer a good test. Kick off is scheduled for 6:30 PM.
