The Manitowoc Police Department arrested a man yesterday after he was found to be in possession of child pornography.
The police executed a search warrant at the residence of a 38-year-old Manitowoc man that was suspected of possessing child porn.
After his arrest, the man admitted to viewing child porn on both his cell phone and laptop but claimed he had never and would never touch a child sexually.
When officers searched his phone, they found a total of approximately 600 images and videos of prepubescent children in provocative positions.
As of when the police report was released, the scan of the laptop had not been completed.
The 38-year-old man was arrested and charged with Possessing Child Pornography, and Sexual Exploitation of a Child.
The man was in partial custody of a child, whose age was redacted, but it was not stated if he will retain that partial custody.
