The Department of Natural Resources is investigating a spill at the Wisconsin Proppants Operations in Jackson County which happened last weekend. D-N-R staff members are trying to determine what it was that spilled into a tributary of the Trempealeau River and how extensive the spill is from the sand mine near Hixton. Investigators say they haven’t found any dead animals due to the spill.
