The estimate for public sector damages from two rounds of severe storms, statewide, last month is now approximately $14.3 million dollars. The amount could still go higher as cleanup and assessment efforts continue in several northern counties. Wisconsin Emergency Management spokesman, Andrew Beckett, said his agency continues to monitor and support debris removal operations. Beckett said multiple state agencies have staff members & other resources out in the field assisting with local recovery efforts. As previously reported, storms produced at least 19-tornadoes & straight-line winds in multiple counties July 18th thru 20th and July 28th.
