Marathon County Man Accused of Leaving Toddler in Car for 10 Hours

A Marathon County man is accused of leaving a toddler inside a vehicle for ten hours.  The Everest Metro Police Department says the father left the child in the car from 2 A-M until noon Sunday in Schofield.  The two-year-old was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.  The child was treated for heat exhaustion and has since been released.  The father was scheduled to appear in court this afternoon to face child neglect charges. Police did not release the name of the suspect.
