The pilot of a single-engine plane that went down along highway 44 near Oshkosh yesterday was not injured in the crash. Crews responded to the location southwest of the city at around 4:30 yesterday afternoon, but the pilot was nowhere to be found. The pilot did eventually return to the scene, was evaluated by authorities and is now speaking to the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration. The cause of the crash is not known at this time, but there was very little damage to the aircraft.
